"Skin Graft" Is a multichannel piece and was exhibited at Radar in Aarhus on November 4th, 2023.
"Skin Graft" takes its compositional starting point from the transformative process that skin transplantation represents. The work focuses on the complex and symbolic aspects related to the human relationship with technology and artificial intelligence. The skin transplantation thus symbolizes humanity's way of adopting and rejecting new technology. "Skin Graft" takes a holistic standpoint, where human existence in the world is inseparable from the technology that surrounds us. Our society is shaped by new technologies, and social constructions rise and fall with how we incorporate technology. The work is therefore situated in a continuum of constant rejection and acceptance of the foreign, and in this limbo, new surrealistic and organic elements arise.
The integration of AI in the visual part enables a cohesive audiovisual work that not only challenges our perception of the human but also creates space for reflection on our relationship with technology in an increasingly digitized world.
